Been doing fanart lately for some of my fave webcomics! (see in gallery!)
Summer is the time for fanart contests (and patriotism!) Went to the Nathan Hale Homestead on the Fourth of July (after walking in the local parade to support Nathan Hale - in period garb! awesome!) and participated in a live reading of the Declaration of Independence (everyone went around saying some of the Declaration - it was really moving...) - it really makes the concept of Independence, patriotism, liberty and freedom come home- also the fact that the US (mostly if not totally) imports goods instead of making them like in ye olden days! I was shocked and really saddened about this, on the other hand it's good for the global economy- but why can't our country get back to making textiles (I wove a basket at the homestead the week before! so cool!)instead of war stuff? it says something about us collectively I think... </off soapbox>

Also, being around all the history makes me want to create! Comic set during late 1700's?

Also have scripted and thumbnailed a short (15 page'sh) comic but haven't picked it up since then (last week?) The idea, scripting and thumbnails all came about in 1-3 days but then I lost steam!
I need to get creative juices going again <3
